About Us

We offer school and treatment, where school is integrated with skills training and therapy. The operations are characterized by a non-prestigious collaboration between different professions. In addition to educators, we have social/therapeutic educators, social workers, and family therapists who, together with school staff, support students in their development. The school caters to adolescents in grades 6–9 with extensive needs for special support. The students we meet often have social, psychosocial, or neuropsychiatric difficulties, and many have a long history of school absenteeism. To help these young people achieve a functioning school experience, we work with small-scale operations, high staff density, enhanced student social support, and individually designed programs based on each student's conditions and needs. We have a systemic and salutogenic perspective where the focus is on working with the whole and building on what works. Our goal is to provide a context where all students can have a chance to succeed based on their conditions.

About the Position

As a teacher at Magelungen Resource School, you will work in an environment that offers school and treatment, where school is integrated with skills training and therapy. We provide a smaller context in a fully adapted learning environment. An important part of our daily work is to empower young people by focusing on their resources and competencies, to work together towards the students' own goals. You will work closely with school management, certified teachers, student health services, and treatment coordinators (social workers and behavioral scientists) by starting from the students' competencies, strengths, and resources and utilizing these to practice what is challenging.

Your Role with Us

As a teacher at Magelungen, you will become a key person in a holistic effort that combines teaching, relationships, and change work. You will teach in a smaller teaching group, where the students' individual strengths become the starting point for planning and learning. Mentorship is a central part of your mission and the school's structure.

• is a certified teacher with qualifications for grades 7–9.
• has experience or a strong interest in students with extensive support needs.
• sees relationships as your primary pedagogical tool.

Experience in special education work is an advantage.

Qualifications

We are looking for teachers with teaching certification for primary school with qualifications for grades 6–9 (we are looking for various subject combinations) who want to help create a learning environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed. You have previous experience working in primary school, and it is advantageous to have special education training or experience in special education work.

Employment Form

The position is a permanent position, full-time or part-time depending on your subject qualifications. We apply a 6-month probationary period.

An extract from the criminal record (suspicions and offenses) will be requested - form.
